The holidays are intended to be a time for connection, sharing, gratitude and love. Ironically, for many people, the opposite experience is usually the norm.
What happens during the holidays and the way we respond to it can provide us with a lot of wisdom about the parts of ourselves that could use some support and healing, as we are often bumping up against the origin of most of our dysfunctional patterns.
Remember that we can’t soothe and solve at the same time, so if you find yourself feeling stressed or triggered, your best bet is to self-soothe first and know that you have plenty of time post holidays to integrate whatever lessons are there for you.
